Campaigns & Services

Captured by Camerideri is our platform where we record incidents of poor motor vehicle driving including close-passes and other behaviours that endanger cyclists and / or are illegal. Go to this campaign below.

Camerideri aims to improve local cycling infrastructure by engaging with local authorities and planners. There are some great improvements in many UK towns and cities, but too often cycling remains an afterthought. Improvements can be made at very little cost benefitting safety and the environment. This campaign highlights problem areas and good infrastructure examples in the UK and Europe.

Pot holes are a blight and one of the biggest local election topics on the door-step. UK roads are too often poor quality and pot-holes pose a major risk to cyclists. Too many local authorities avoid responsibility for injuries they cause. Camerideri challenges this through its campaigns and works to alert pot-hole concerns.

The Camerideri Club Hub is where we provide local cycling club and association links. Camerideri can take the pain and cost away from clubs by providing cost-effective landing pages via our site for your club. Find out more here.

Captured by Camerideri

The Captured by Camerideri campaign is at the heart of our vision and mission. Our Vision is to establish a cycling positive community. However, first we ultimately need to improve the safety of cyclists and to tackle poor driving practices and attitudes by increasing the reporting of such incidents to the authorities.

Our quick-links can be used to help you do this more easily and this page will develop to enable you to be more successful at expediting reporting, whilst providing information and resources that can help road user education for all.

Reporting a close pass is something we recommend. The evidence from forces like West Midlands Police show that acting on close passes literally helps drive cultural change.

Kent Police have a poor comparative record to date and the Captured by Camerideri campaign will be updating our site with the action rates resulting from Operation Close Pass.

The only way to challenge poor driving behaviours is by active campaigning and reporting of close pass incidents. Use our quick-tips to report a video evidenced close pass!

There's plenty of evidence to show that poor driving behaviours are the major cause of cyclist fatalities and injuries. Also that too many motorists / vehicles are uninsured and / or untaxed.

We therefore advise more cyclists get adequately insured. Data is imprecise at around 18-20% with specific insurance and about half with related household or other insurance cover. Whilst a myth that cyclists aren't insured more should be, not least to protect themselves and their families. A simple way to get cover is via British Cycling membership or a private insurance provider.
